Felicity welcomed news that the King granted a conditional pardon to Ruth Ellis, the last woman hanged in the UK. Announcing the pardon, David Lammy described Ellis as “a victim of sustained domestic, physical and sexual abuse” whose case was “marked by exceptional circumstances.”
Felicity said she is hopeful the pardon builds momentum for the separate application she is involved in on behalf of Christine Keeler.
