Experts on vulnerability in justice systems came together at the Law Society on Chancery Lane to discuss facilitating communication and effective participation of vulnerable people. I presented a video address from the Chief Justice of the Northern Territory on advocacy with indigenous people and a paper on advocacy with vulnerable witnesses and parties in civil proceedings.
The event was sponsored by Charles Darwin University in Australia where we are working on a toolkit for advocacy with Aboriginal people.
Details will be released at the Law and Language Conference in Darwin in August.
