Felicity was back in Kenya this week, delivering a seminar on ‘Mental Wellness in the Office’ in the context of working to combat online child sexual trafficking. Prepared on behalf of Lawyers Without Borders and with the DOPP and DCI Kenya in Nairobi, the session focused on victim-centred, child-friendly and trauma-informed work with traumatised young victims, as well as dealing with vicarious trauma through working on the frontline of difficult issues such as child exploitation.
Felicity facilitated this session with Caroline Karimi (ODPP), Victoria Rika (Chiromo group of hospitals) and Lilian Orieko (LWOB) and officers from the Witness Protection Agency, HAART-Kenya and the Department of Children Services.
