On 21 October, an amendment to the Sentencing Bill (UK) was tabled by MP Zoe Franklin, which would the substantial injustice test and provide a mechanism for appeal where the law has changed since a case was heard. Felicity was pleased to contribute to the drafting of this amendment, which would mean that those sentenced before R v Jogee would have an opportunity to apply for re-sentencing.
