The Joint Enterprise (Significant Contribution) Bill co-authored by Felicity Gerry was the subject of debate in UK Parliament on 2 February 2024. The bill seeks to address the problem of the incarceration of innocent people who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and was introduced by MP Kim Johnson. Felicity was in Parliament for the debate “…to me it was clear that both sides of the house are concerned about #JointEnterprise law & the over criminalisation of alleged secondary parties”.
The debate was adjourned to be resumed on the 21st June 2024.
